When you book a session at Stargazer Studios, you’re not simply hiring a space and an engineer. You’re working with a producer, songwriter, arranger, pianist, and creative director in one — someone who will be fully invested in your song from first idea to final mix.

I’ll help you find the right key for your voice, refine your lyrics and melody, shape your arrangement, and create a production that feels authentic, compelling, and release-ready. I’ll also play piano, synths, program drums, and bring in my 20 years of production experience to give your track depth and character.

Most studios focus on the recording. Here, the focus is on the song — its heart, its story, and how to make it connect with the world.

Mostly solo pop artists and singer-songwriters.

I’m likely not the right fit for heavy rock or metal bands, but if your music is heart-led, honest, and melodic (or you want it to be), we’ll likely be a great match.

Whether it’s your first time recording or your fiftieth. All I ask is that you’re open, collaborative, and committed to the song.

Stargazer Studios is a cosy, light-filled space in my home, intentionally set up for creativity and comfort.

There’s room for us to experiment, instruments to spark ideas, and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to find your flow.

It’s not about racks of intimidating gear, it’s about intention, inspiration, and making something that matters.

Stargazer Studios is in Blackburn, Lancashire. Close to the Ribble Valley and easily accessible from Manchester, Liverpool, and surrounding areas.

The standard rate for a full-day Stargazer Session is £600, which includes: pre-session planning call, the full in-person creative day, post-session production and mixing, and delivery of a professional-quality track.

To celebrate the launch of Stargazer Sessions, I’m opening a limited number of sessions at a special rate (£400). Available for bookings in August and September 2025 only.

Half-day sessions (£300) and bespoke multi-track packages are also available, just ask.

Yes. While I love working in person at Stargazer Studios, we can absolutely collaborate virtually. We’ll connect over Zoom for writing and arranging, you can record vocals locally, and I’ll produce and mix from my end, keeping the process collaborative and creatively alive at every stage.

You do. It’s your song, your voice, your art. I ask for a 5% master share (sometimes called producer points), which means if the recording earns income in the future, I receive a small share of that revenue. This is standard in the industry and ensures we both have a stake in its success.

If I contribute to the melody, chords, lyrics, or compositional elements (beyond arrangement and production), that’s considered part of the songwriting. In that case, we’ll agree a fair publishing split. For example, 50/50 if it’s just you and me writing together.

If I’m only producing and arranging without changing the core melody, chords or lyrics, all songwriting rights stay with you.

This will always be discussed and agreed openly before release.

Perfect. This is a warm, safe, encouraging space, especially for first timers. I’ll guide you through everything, help you find the right key and arrangement, and make sure the whole process feels natural and empowering.

Not at all. Some artists record just for themselves. Others go on to release their work. This is your journey, I’m here to support it either way.

Absolutely. Half-day sessions are perfect for vocals, overdubs, or starting a track. For bigger projects, I can create a bespoke package, and if you book four full days in advance, you’ll only pay for three.

Before your session, I’ll send you a short form to learn about your goals, style, and any existing ideas. You can share lyric drafts, demos, or reference tracks, but you’re also welcome to just show up ready to explore. I’ll take care of the rest.
