About Jack

Jack Watkins is a British songwriter, producer and performer. His debut album, Wonderland, was released in 2024, and takes listeners on a colourful musical journey through love, loss and self-discovery.

Rich with beautiful melodies and poignant lyrics, Jack uses music to make sense of his own joyful, painful and complex life experiences. Moving effortlessly between upbeat dance tracks and stripped back, haunting ballads, his fusion of acoustic instruments, electronic synths and soulful vocals builds an immersive world of sophisticated, catchy pop music.

Wonderland peaked at number 8 in the UK iTunes Pop Chart, and was supported by regional and national radio play. Jack launched the album with a sell-out, live performance of Wonderland: The Concert, entertaining a delighted audience with songs and conversation from his piano, captivating production and backing from his live band. The concert was declared “an all-round package of great entertainment” by Music Republic Magazine.

A classically-trained pianist from the age of six, Jack’s signature piano melodies are at the heart of his songwriting. Drawing inspiration from both classic songwriters and modern pop producers, he takes a meticulous approach to production, layering orchestration, vocals and ear candy to create the polished Jack Watkins sound.

As a multi-faceted artist, Jack defies standard categorisation. A visionary creative, he uses imagery and theatrics to elevate his narrative. Much of his work explores navigating the world as a gay man, and provides an opportunity to break through limiting conventions to express a truer version of himself.

Recognised as high-potential talent by the Arts Council-backed organisation, Actual Music, Jack was invited to appear on BBC Radio Lancashire before performing live at their showcase at The Bureau in Blackburn in late 2024.

Building on the success of Wonderland, Jack has a series of new releases scheduled for summer and autumn 2025 — each showcasing a fresh emotional depth while staying rooted in the imaginative, expressive sound he’s known for. His latest single, Dreaming, was released in July 2025.
