Renaissance

Renaissance was conceived and written at the beginning of 2023. The new year had blown in with fresh energy, and Jack felt ready to step boldly into a new phase. The dramatic orchestral arrangement with stirring strings and the confident vocal harmonies are full of strength and serenity. The song, rich with artistic metaphor, is an opportunity to reflect and an invitation to be born again.

Lyrics

You're where you are
Because of where you've come from
You're who you are
Because of who you were

Put brush to canvas
Paint something beautiful
Take what you've learned
To illustrate your truth

How will you sculpt the likeness of you?
The true you darling
How will you learn to forgive yourself?
And lead yourself to renaissance
Renaissance
How will you sculpt the likeness of you?
And lead yourself to renaissance

Your history guides you
Your own philosophy
You are your muse
Your curiosity

Put pen to paper
Write something meaningful
Pour out your soul
Make heaven of your hell

How will you sculpt the likeness of you?
The true you darling
How will you learn to forgive yourself?
And lead yourself to renaissance
Renaissance
How will you sculpt the likeness of you?
And lead yourself to renaissance

A lifetime is fleeting
We're young then we're old
Been scratching at marble
Unyielding and cold
Face is emerging
Expression is bold
Now you are reborn
And serenity unfolds

How will you sculpt the likeness of you?
The true you darling
How will you learn to forgive yourself?
And lead yourself to renaissance
Renaissance
How will you sculpt the likeness of you?
And lead yourself to renaissance
