Acknowledgements

Releasing a debut album is a huge milestone for me as a musician, and as an artist. I couldn’t have done it without an abundance of magical people who have guided, supported, mentored and inspired me along the way.

MUM & DAD

Thank you for always being there for me. For supporting me as I navigated through this tricky path called life, on the path that often seemed less travelled or predictable or normal.

MY SISTER REBECCA

The best big sister a little brother could ask for. Thank you for always protecting me. I love the relationship that we have, and being an uncle to Pretty Alice™.

MY FAMILY

Thank you to my grandparents and wider family for always supporting and believing in me and my music.

To Grandpa, who is with us in spirit, thank you for taking me to all those classical music concerts when I was young. I loved beating all of the old people to the front of the ice cream queue for us.

To Gran, my number one fan. You are the most magical human. I live to see the sparkle in your eye, and you understand me more than anyone else in the whole world. This album is for you.

MRS. BOWLER, MY AMAZING PIANO TEACHER

Thank you for nurturing my gifts and shaping me into the pianist I am today. None of what I do now would be possible without your expertise and guidance. Being able to play the piano has brought so much joy and magic to my life, and I will be forever grateful to you for that. Thank you for the gift of Allison (the grand piano). It is so special to me to be able to write and play music on the same piano that I learnt on from the age of six. No one knows me better than Allison.

MY GIRL FRIENDS

The “hareem”. Whether near or far, I know I can count on you for a laugh, a cry, a rant, or a hug when I need one.

To Hannah, you are the wisest, purest, kindest soul I know. Thank you for peeling me off the ceiling and grounding me on a regular basis.

To Lilian, “people say that we’re soulmates, and I think that’s true, there’s no one like me and you”. Thank you for sharing your angelic voice on “Lost and Found” and for helping me to find the magic again.

MY WILLY (HA!)

My precious angel, Willow. Thank you for giving me a reason to wake up in a morning, and for the unconditional love. “Dogs never lie about love”.

MY DESIGN CLIENTS

Thank you for investing in my creative mind, and allowing me to make a living from what I love doing the most, being creative.

THE COACHES

To Lucy Sheridan, thank you for filling up my cup of self-worth and for the magic and wisdom that you have instilled in me. I use your guidance and belief in me each and every day.

To Kerry Lyons, I had a goal to release my first EP out into the world in 2022. You unblocked and unlocked me from all of the nonsense, self-doubt and other bollocks that had been getting in the way for so many years. I’ll be forever grateful to you.

STAGGY

You saw something in me all those years ago, and I’m so grateful for all the geekery, magic and wisdom. You taught me about pop music, music production, record engineering, and went above and beyond. This album wouldn’t be possible without you.

JUDITH & MARTIN

Thank you for your unwavering belief in me and my music over the years. Your stories inspire me and I’m so grateful for everything that you’ve contributed to my artistry and my music. Thank you Martin for enriching my songs with your emotive guitar contributions.

CLARE, MY CREATIVE SOULMATE

The Bernie to my Elton. No one understands the rollercoaster of creating art quite like you do. Thank you for coming along for the ride with me. We’ve shared the highs, and navigated the lows. Thank you for sharing your wonderfully complex, brilliant and creative mind with me and these songs. I love creating magic with you.

INSPIRATIONS

Thank you to the artists, songwriters and producers who have gone before me, who inspire me, and who make my dreams feel like a very real possibility.

Thank you to the people who have inspired the songs. You know who you are. Thank you for the life lessons and the experiences that we’ve shared along the way.

YOUNG JACK

Thank you to my younger self, for the resilience, strength and perseverance it took to simply be you in a world that isn’t set up for people like you. For dreaming big, never taking no for an answer, and for keeping going when everything felt like it was against you.

YOU, GORGEOUS LISTENER

Thank you for listening, supporting, engaging with and sharing my music. It means the world to me.

A wise lady once said to me “don’t die with your music in you”. My debut album is now yours. I hope you love it as much as I loved creating it.
